The First Home Buyers Information Session will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 2.30pm for a 3pm start at the Mountview Sales and Information Centre, corner School Rd and Alawoona Street.
One of the major topics will be the $15,000 Great Start grant. Participants will find out what the grant is, whether they are eligible, and how to apply.
Other topics will include what to look for when buying a new property, details of state and federal government benefits and insights into the local property market. The benefits of buying a new home versus an existing home will also be discussed.
“The First Home Buyers Information Session is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to enter the property market, but are unsure of the options available to them,” said Devine General Manager Communities Andrew Brimblecombe.
“The sessions aim to deliver the necessary information and know-how that will greatly assist buyers in making a well-thought decision on purchasing their first property.
“Mountview has a variety of home and land packages well-suited to first home buyers with prices starting from $279,000 and land from $144,900. All homes are close to major amenities such as parks, shopping, schools, transport and amenities.”
On completion, the master-planned community of Mountview will be home to 1300 families.
The community is close to Redbank Plaza and Orion shopping centres and surrounded by many schools and childcare centres, with Redbank State School only 500m away.
There are also plans for a proposed train station linking Ipswich and Springfield Lakes, with a Redbank Plains South Station.
Residents will also have access to a planned retail and commercial centre at Mountview, which will be anchored by a major supermarket chain and feature specialty shops, fast food outlet, service station, tavern and a childcare centre.
